Gone Fishing with Councilman Barlow

Youth Outdoor Unity-Las Vegas youth were invited to cast their fishing lines with Councilman Ricki Y. Barlow of Ward 5.  Middle and high school youth were invited to bring a parent or guardian and join the fun at Lorenzi Park Lake for the Fishing Derby on Saturday, Nov. 9. The day started at 8 a.m. at the covered pavilion south of the lake where we checked in and enjoyed a complimentary continental breakfast and mingled with new friends. We were then invited to stop by learning stations set up to teach us about fishing techniques, applicable laws and how to clean fish.
